Greetings to all members of the Family and Consumer Science Educators section of Washington ACTE! In my position as Executive Director, it is my job to support the team of officers and board members as they work to make this a strong organization that meets the varied needs of FACS teachers across the state. I spent 31 yewars teaching FACS classes and working as a Director of Career and Technical Education programs, mostly at North Mason High School in Belfair, and have been an active member of our organization for all of those years. Many of those years I taught in a single teacher department. I depended on the connections and network that WA-ACTE, FACS Section, provided to me to keep current in my field and share ideas and methods that were effective with students. Upon my retirement, it has become my privilege to have the opportunity to give back support to current teachers and the executive board of the organization that was always there for me. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you as you work to give our students the skills they need to have successful personal lives, families and careers. No one does more important work than you do!
